Postal Supervisor Arrested For Felony Drug Abuse

From the Akron Beacon Journal:

TALLMADGE: A postal supervisor at the Tallmadge Post Office has been charged with drug abuse, a felony.

Michael Caudill, 46, of Mogadore, was arrested by city police at 9:44 a.m. April 16 while he was driving his personal vehicle during work hours. Caudill was in possession of Fentanyl patches, authorities said.

Police had received a tip about the alleged drug abuse and were following him at the time.

Caudill told police he had a prescription for the patches, but he was cutting them and ”chewing it like gum,” Lt. Ron Williams said.

Caudill, who joined the U.S. Postal Service in late 1993, has been suspended without pay, a postal spokesman said.
