Feds say all 5 Detroit postal supervisors in bribery case could plead guilty

One of the postal supervisors pleaded guilty today.

“Mancer Holmes pleaded guilty to conspiracy Thursday, acknowledging he took bribes to send mail vehicles to a Detroit repair garage. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Gardey says two or three additional guilty pleas are expected — and possibly all five men.

The government says Metro Diesel paid more than $100,000 in bribes and provided a prostitute to ensure it would work on trucks in Detroit and Akron, Ohio. The company received millions from the Postal Service.

Holmes was a lead automotive technician in Allen Park. He’s accused of accepting more than $6,000. No one from Metro Diesel has been charged. The U.S. attorney’s office won’t explain why.”
