Postal Maintenance Mechanic Admits Using USPS Computer For Child Porn

An employee for the U.S. Postal Service has admitted to using a work computer to view child pornography.

Michael Geary, 56, pleaded guilty in federal court Monday, admitting that he used a government computer at the Utica Post Office to search for, receive and view child porn. Geary was a maintenance mechanic with the Postal Service at the time.

Geary faces up to 20 years in prison and $500,000 in fines. He will also be required to register as a sex offender

  2. We had a level # 20 postmaster watching porn on the clock ! Guess what ? He was made a level # 20 supervisor and charged with sexual harassment @ another p.o. Then guess what ? NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sexual harassment lawsuit still pending . How much is that going to cost the post office ? Who cares ? He is an asset to the post office and a role model !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Well, the rules only applies to non-supervisory and management employess when it comes to P.O. Bet ya the management have known it a long time before they said anything to this guy. They see you do something wrong and they won’t even budge to tell you its wrong.

  8. A grown man doesn’t need to be told that what he is doing is wrong but I think a warning from a supervisor is necessary to correct the behavior. Hoarders will not realize that what they are doing is wrong until someone says so. Giving a warning will help stablish a disciplinary action and will give the offender a chance to be rehabilitated before adverse action is implemented.

    It is a sad reality that in some PO rules only applies to non-supervisory and non-management level employees

  10. When he arrives at Federal Prison when he (thinks he`s signing the OTDL) and checks NO RESTRICTIONS, guess what……..he`s going to get it with NO RESTRICTIONS! “Ouch”
