Brooklyn Post Offices To Offer “Senior Citizen” Window

BROOKLYN, NY —Beginning in November, the Brownsville Station Post Office, located at 167 Bristol St., and The Metropolitan Station Post Office at 47 Debevoise Street, –both in Brooklyn, NY –will offer dedicated lines for senior citizen customers.

At the Brownsville Station, the line will offer special access to seniors and be in operation the first three (3) business days of each month. The Metropolitan Station Post Office will offer special access to seniors and be in operation the first five (5) business days of each month. The hours for these senior lines will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

Signs will be placed in the lobbies to inform postal customers of the dedicated line for senior citizens. 

On Thursday, November 1st, Customer Relations Coordinator Andrea Burrows, of the Brooklyn Post Office, will be on hand to greet seniors and direct them to the Senior Dedicated Line.

Requests for a dedicated line for senior citizens at the Offeri Brownsville Station was a topic raised at a recent Brooklyn Customer Advisory Council (CAC) meeting with members of the local Community Board. In response, the Brooklyn Post Office is offering this expanded service for Brooklyn postal customers.
