  1. [Speaking as a city carrier], There are certainly people who are on our side (like Rep. DeFazio) but when you think of how we all have been duped. Is this change we can believe in? (I’m not a facebooker or texter but….WTF). Will Rush help us?
Will Stephanie Miller help us? Where’s big Eddie? We don’t got Ed!
I have so much respect for Rep. DeFazio, because he did his research and he got it right, Donahoe is in over his head and we’ll all pay.

  2. Hi I have the problem soved, it they would only listen to my ideas. The postal service neets to get ride of half of the uper manger who do nothing to deliver the mail except make stupid changes that do not help deliver the mail. They need to stop over time and man the area with the correct amount of people, not 12 people on over time to give breaks to the ones who are schedule to work. LOL It realy is stupid. Stop closing the sales area where we get the money to pay the bill. WE are not broke, the money is there, they just don’t want you to see it.

We currently run the mail through the same machine three time before it get to the carrier. CAN YOU BELIVE THIS STUPID SUFF. I can run the post office in the black in less than a year if you just give my suggestions a try. The trouble stated with congress make the post office pay the 5.5 billion dollars a year for the future health care. NO OTHER COMPANY OR GOVERMENT AGDENCY HAS TO DO THAT. NOW CAN YOU SEE THE POST OFFICE HAS PAID THIS MONEY FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS AND WAS IN THE BLACK THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT THE MAIL VOLUM HAS GONE DONE THIS MUCH ( MAYBE) SO IF THEY MESSED IT UP THEN FIX IT AND DON’T DO IT ON THE WORKER BACK WHO
DELIVER THE MAIN INSPIT OF MANAGEMENT NOT BECAUSE OF MANAGMENT. Phone # 402-659-1664 Thank you Ray

  3. Thank you Rep Difazio. My only regret is your not from my state and I can’t vote for you. One of just a few congress men that seems to know whats going on with the PO. To bad the President isn’t in the know!

  6. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again when you have a window clerk from Pittsburg running a fortune 500 size company this is the business acumen you’ll get. The real culpret in this is the guy in the White house, what’s he waiting for? Fire this nitwit. Why can’t the P.O. get a retired CEO like a Lee Iacoccca to run the service for a couple of years? Some one who has experience in turning around large companies? And lastly give the american people the service it needs and deserves. 5 day? We should be doing 7 day. Go after more business not less.

  7. You can bet that the postal supervisors will all get huge bonuses this year as they have in the past…..So glad i am retired………..

  8. Thank you so much Rep. Peter DeFazio, I agree with you whole heartily. The Postmaster General needs to be FIRED! He is taking the Postal Service Back in time to the 1800s.

  9. Attention! Repeat after me….the USPS does not receive taxpayer money. Now write it 100 times. Got it now? OK, good. Spread the word.

    PS Extremely good video.

  10. It will be sad if we loose important services including the Postal Service.

Wreck Of The U.S. Postal Service

Our Postal Service was founded in 1775 with Benjamin Franklin being our first Post Master.

The Postal Service is in trouble because of a Bush- era law that requires the Postal Service to pre-fund the cost of retiree’s benefits for the next 75 years in 10 years time.
No other company or agency in America is required to do this.

In June 2011 Hangman Darrell Issa and Hangman Dennis Ross introduced H.R. 2309 which will be the Wisconsin of the Postal Service if it becomes law. It will dismantle collective bargaining and forbid payment of severance pay to retirement-eligible employees. And reduce delivery services and close plants and post offices.

Rep Steve Lynch introduced H.R. 1351 which would prevent the financial collapse of the USPS – without closing thousands of post offices, eliminating hundreds of mail processing facilities, delaying mail delivery, laying off 120,000 workers, cutting postal workers’ pay, or ending collective bargaining rights.

We are in the fight of our lives but people have voted wrong for too long and done nothing to help preserve their jobs over the years. People tell me it doesn’t matter what we do as we are doomed anyway.

The Postal Service has its mind made up even before the Area Mail Processing studies are done.

All we can do is say we went down trying to keep our Eagle from drowning to keep service for the American people and jobs and benefits for the workers.

Hangman Issa and his cronies will never give up until all services that help us including the Postal Service are bled and dead. Common sense is not in the makeup to improve the economy, only the rich get richer and the poor poorer.

Private companies will not deliver to the rural areas or inner cities and the elderly will not get their medications.

We will have a museum of our defunct Postal Service.

  11. FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME!!! The USPS would be fine IF…they did not have to pay out 5.5 billion dollars a year to a retirement system that has already anywhere from 55-75 billion dollars of overpayment sitting in it. The formula used to decide how much to pay into this system was developed by the government long before the steady down turn in mail volume occurred. If anything…there will be more excess in this system as the USPS has stopped hiring career employees and yet still pays the same amount into this system. NO other business in the USA has to pay into a retirement system this heavily front loaded. This system is so bloated…it already has money to pay full retirement for people not even born yet. Are you kidding me!!!

  12. Donahoe, is absolute right. Where does everyone think the money is going to keep coming from to operate the antique system! Any other business would of been chapter 11 by now. Keep ripping off the taxpayers, to keep those high paying jobs.
What kind of a country cares more about a sending or delivering a document then it does about making sure food and water is accessible to everyone. USA Why don’t you guys get your employee numbers in line as well as your pay structure. $70,000 a year to run a small town post office. Your way out of line. You think a manager of small restaurant , connivence store, or gas station make that. They would all be out of business. Just like you USPS should be it they don’t get things in line!

  13. You are so right. I wonder if there giving out bonuses this year to supervisors. When they are abolishing jobs as we speak.

  14. WOW Thank you ! No one has said it better within the walls of Congress. Only wish there was debate on the matter to prove how erroneous this plan is. This is a self inflicted gunshot to heart of America. Too bad there is no ground roots movement to protest this travesty.

  15. DONAHUE HAS NO VISION FOR THE FUTURE DONT ELIMINATE OVERNIGHT DELIVERY ELIMINATE SATURDAY DELIVERY NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Mr Clark your so right the government. Is trying. To sell us down the river I’ve got 6 years. Until. Retirement. I hope. I make.it.regards mike

  17. Thanks, a great video. He is right, this country is in a race to the bottom. When and why is it that the Postal Service is suppose to make money? Is the FBI, CIA, Social Security or EPA making money? That is why it is called a service. You can mail any letter within this country for $.44. Do you think the Post Office makes money on this? The problem is the government has been stealing money from the Postal Service for so many years and now they are not able to do so as the profits have gone down. So ow they will get it at the exspense of the workers and the american public. Sad thing to see
