Postal Supervisor Indicted for Faking a Mugging To Collect Workers Comp

A federal grand jury today indicted a Jeanette post office supervisor for faking a mugging to collect workers compensation for medical treatment and 32 days of lost wages.

Jeffrey Gogets, 50, of Hempfield carried an empty bottle to the Bullitt Avenue entrance of the post office shortly before 6 a.m. on April 18, waited several minutes and then threw his wallet and car keys about six feet into a grassy area, prosecutors say.

He then broke the bottle, laid down on the walkway and started banging on the door to attract attention.

  1. Real genius there – who doesn’t know that there are cameras posted at the entrance of buildings?

  2. Give us a break! He must have been denied his bonus. This is another example of management out of control.
