PMG Names New Area Vice President For Capital Metro
PMG Pat Donahoe has announced the selection of David Fields as Vice President, Area Operations, Capital Metro Area. Fields has been acting in this position since January.
Fields began his USPS career in 1981 as a letter sorting machine operator in Bristol, TN. Prior to his current assignment, he served as District manager of the Mid-Carolinas, Greensboro and Hawkeye districts. He also has served as a manager, Operations Support, in the Midwest Area (St. Louis); senior plant manager in Chicago; and director, Field Operations, in the Northern Illinois District. Fields is a former Postmaster of Fredericksburg, VA, and was a director, Marketing and Communications, in Roanoke, VA.
Fields earned a master of business administration degree from the McColl School of Business at Queens Univesity in Charlotte, NC. In 1996, he was awarded the USPS Diversity Award and Board of Governors Award. In 2008, he received the Deputy Postmaster General Award.

PMG Donahoe Appoints New Vice Presidents For Eastern, Northeast Areas
PMG Pat Donahoe last week announced two new officer assignments within Operations to head the Eastern and Northeast areas.
Jordan Small, who most recently served as vice president, Area Operations, Northeast Area, will assume the duties of vice president, Area Operations, Eastern Area. Prior to his assignment as Northeast Area vice president, Small served as vice president, Network Operations; vice president, Delivery and Post Office Operations; manager of the South Florida District; and manager/lead executive in the Philadelphia District.
Steven Forte, who most recently served as senior vice president for Operations, will assume the duties of vice president, Area Operations, Northeast Area. Forte’s previous assignments have included the position of vice president, Area Operations, for the former New York Metro Area and as manager of Operations Support also for the former New York Metro Area.
“Jordan Small and Steve Forte have done a tremendous job in helping guide USPS to achieve its business goals, and they will continue to drive beneficial change in their new assignments,” said Donahoe.
USPS Announces New Pacific Area Operations VP

Drew Aliperto
Postmaster General Jack Potter has announced the selection of Drew Aliperto as vice president, Area Operations, for the Pacific Area. He replaces Michael Daley, who will retire next month after a 37-year career with the Postal Service.
In his new role, Aliperto will be responsible for approximately 14 percent of the nation’s mail and an area which has met and exceeded national on-time performance averages for Express, First-Class and Priority Mail.
“Drew’s extensive experience has given him a unique understanding of the means and methods necessary to achieve optimal performance of the state-of-the-art processing equipment and systems that support the most technologically advanced mail system in the world,” said PMG Jack Potter. “It also has given him a special appreciation of the critical role of our employees in maintaining their effectiveness.”
Aliperto, currently manager, Operations Support for the Pacific Area, has had responsibility for the development and implementation of operational programs and policies throughout some of the most geographically diverse and expansive service territories in the Postal Service.
A 32-year veteran of the Postal Service, Aliperto began his postal career as a mail handler in St. Paul, MN, in 1978. He later held several management positions, including manager and senior manager of Distribution Operations at processing facilities in Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as plant manager.
Before moving to his current position, Aliperto served for a time as the senior plant manager of the Sacramento P&DC.
