  1. My APWU steward filed yesterday on the replacement of soft toliet paper with the rougher cheaper kind. I found this out when I went postal in the head the other day and cut my asshole with the new paper.

  2. Bobby you make a good point. We should not clump everyone in the same Title. However, I know of many Managers that have slithered their way into management before the ASP Program. Many were hurt and on light or limited duty for years and worked the system while they were in this status. You play the right political game and shake the right hands and Bingo….your in the Club! Sure, its not unique to the P.O. That’s fine if you want to work in an office. Many Letter Carriers come from Military backgrounds and have the same and in many cases more education than their supervisors. This is their chosen Job. If, like you say, many managers come from Craft positions…..maybe they are the few good ones.

  3. The many comments being made about management has hit the nail on the head. There are titled supervisors who will not work weekends or holidays who get PSE’s or willing Clerks to work this time frame. These individuals have no clue of what mail needs to be worked let alone the color codes and dispatch system. We who perform the sorting and dispatching of the mail have done this for years and have done it well. In spite of management we were successful until the contracts with Fed-Ex and UPS along with the 2006 Postal Enhancement and Accountability Act were implemented. Billions of wasted profit down the drain to the bottom feeders in management and their cronies. You all have a special place waiting for you in HELL for your deceit and greed that has brought us to this moment!!!!

  4. “Ya la teta no tiene leche mijo!” Keep paying dem dues and assessments bruthas n sistas!

  5. Things are really bad when the changes like we are looking at, turns us against each other instead of bringing us togather. We spend more of our awake hours with the people we work with than we do with our family. In a time like this we should we should be pulling togather instead of attacking each other. I have been in this for 38 years and most of the people in the EAS positions came from craft. Does this say that because we have bad Mangers then all craft has to be bad because that is where most of them came from. In a P&DC all you have to have is a bad plant manger and everyone else may seem just as bad because they have to follow orders or loose their jobs. EAS do not have a Union. I know of a SMO you was told to resign or get busted to a level 3 cust because he didn’t follow some dumb orders. He had 28 yrs service.

  6. I hate to admit it but gone postal is a term that does enter your mind! Have worked my whole life for this company and they have excessed me and dismissed me to 7.25 work hrs. biweekly from 25-30 hours a week. Been 7 months and my savings is depleting quickly. What do you do with $39.30 in your pocket-LOL! Oh and I have 28 1/2 yrs. in but CSRS – am only 51 PTF clerk

  7. Joe Smith you are an asshole. I am a window clerk who works everyday doing window work with lines out the door, now we have to do passports which leaves one person in the window. we are not crabby nor stupied or lazy. we are actually having more work put on us all the time, we now have to do the box section before the window opens, we do things that the supervisor is suppose to do but won’t. So you can blow it out your ass! YOU are one of the major problems that the postrr office has. Where we work I can assure you that we bust our ass’s each day and to above and beyond to help our customers. So shut the hell up. Just because something crawled up your ass and died don’t about things you obviously know know nothing about.

  8. A four-year investigation? Hmmm. I didn’t get to tell all the grisly facts that I know, and I know ALOT! In fact, I plan to write a book about all the evil managers and supervisors that I know so much about. Heads will roll, “careers” will be ruined. But what the hell? They sure didn’t give a shit about all the shit they have done to me and many, many other people. Get ready, Lynn Smith and Bernice Grant, ’cause it’s a comin’! And when people read all the true facts that I know, they won’t believe the deceit and bullshit that goes on in the USPS. Just think, this is only one area of the country – it’s rampant in the whole upper management of the USPS. The people like Donahoe and Potter are so power and money hungry it is unbelievable! This video does touch on the many atrocities that go on every day in the US Postal Service. These managers, district managers, postmasters and the rest of them that are in it for themselves need to go down like they are trying to bring down the Postal Service! Bring ’em DOWN!!! And do they really wonder why people “go postal” and want to blow them away? They know why. Because of people like Lynn Smith and Randy Brown, that’s why!

  10. It amazes me how ignorant people who have never worked for the USPS can even fathom an idea of what postal employees go through on a daily basis. The problem with the PO is that we don’t have people at the top with the intelligence or foresight to navigate the service through these tough economic times. Most of the brain trust at Postal headquarters will be retired within 18 months leaving us in the hands of even less qualified desk jockies. This is not rocket science. This is a vital service for the American people preformed by hard working dedicated Americans who are entitled to respect and dignity. Not the distrust and misleading criticism of a few politicians and privateers who only see profits gained not service rendered. Make Washington give back the overpayments to our retirement programs (75 billion) and let see where we stand.

  11. The Term “don’t touch the Mail” is just a generic term mainly focused towards Managers and Administrators. There are absolutely too many getting paid 2X the pay of the people actually “moving the mail”…….We are all rational people (lets say at least 80%) that care and do a good job. Ask yourself this question “Do I really need somone to tell me what to do?” Deliver, sort, or what ever capacity you are involved? Its the same every day!

  12. To “Hello”

1- APC’s can replace a majority of the window clerks. Most of them are lazy and rude. 24×7 with no breaks or benefits

    2. Cluster boxes. That can cut out 30% of carriers by making the routes bigger. Less injuries because the fat lazy carriers will have to move less

Results, better customer service and lower costs.

    Case closed!

  13. In response to Joe Smith……when HAVAC goes down we will call the some HAVAC people, Payroll is done by swiping a card and downloaded to a computer, Maintenance on the LLV’S, can be done local. What else you have?

  14. I see these a#$holes saying “if you don’t touch the mail” we don’t need ya.

What are they going to do when the HVAC stops working, when they cannot change their benefits, when the payroll does not get processed, when the phones are down and the list goes on and on …

Only narrow minded slugs do not realize that it takes many support people to run a 60 billion dollar organization.

    Open your eyes you idiots.

  15. Wasteful use of dues assessments in order to sway a public that gives a damn? They’re busy on the internet paying for those viagras that FedEx will deliver. Dead man walking!

  16. Sure, Bobby there are some elements to your response that are very true, However…..Postal Employee Standards should apply to Everyone, especially Supervisors and Postmasters who are grossly overpaid. Dose not the computer do everything now? Who needs them? Get Real!

  17. Every time I read the comments posted after a story I get a strong feeling that most comments are made by people that don’t want to live by any rules, or expectations of doing a job. I was a Member of the AFLCIO union before coming to the Post Office and my union demanded that we honor the contract as well as seeing that management honored their side. We had to be at work on time, at work when scheduled and because the union had to ensure that there was enough people to cover the job, you had to check in on your off days. I became a union steward after I came to the P.O. but after 2 years I stepped down because all I was doing was keeping bad employees employed and harrassing management because of bad employees

  18. The ways of management treating employees has got worse. How you treat your employees is a reflection on how they will treat the customer. The changes have to be made in MANAGEMENT not Labor. Management is supposed to run this service. They have run it into the ground nearly. I, like most people know friends and family that work in private sector business. I ask one of my best friends who works for one of the top cival engineering firms in the country “what happens if you guys are like 10 or 15 minnutes late for work ? He replied well we get the last doughnut” I could go on and on about how the employees are poorly trated and managed.

  19. Bring back Carvin Marvin, at least he paid folks to leave while he was in charge and cut EAS. U don’t handle mail or equipment, u don’t need to be here.
Hold EAS Accountable for their actions. If they continuously violate the CBA, then they do not need to work here because every violation costs the USPS Money!
No Corporation can afford to operate the way the USPS operates. Promotions because of who u know, how you’re related or who u slept with…total lunacy!!!!!

  20. The postal world is has been going down hill for quite some time. I work with a supervisor that acts very sweet and kind and then stabs you in the back hence I never turn by back to her. She has been stressing out particularly women in our office and has been known to do this in the other offices she has worked in and been fired from . Why do they continue to send fired supervisors to other offices to harass them? Another film to watch probably a little more hard core is called Murder by Proxy – How America went postal. Very sad and totally unnecessary.

I wish us all the best….unfortunately we will all need it.

  21. If you dont touch the mail…..then we (the workers) dont need you. Everyone knows what to do….Carriers, Mail Handlers, Clerks etc. What do we need those data entry clerks for? Just get a bunch of form letters and a Cardboard Cutout and the P.O. will do just fine!
