USPS Proposing to Close 3 Congressional Post Offices In Washington DC

News On The Capitol

The United States Postal Service is proposing to close the post offices in the Capitol, Cannon House Office Building, and Rayburn House Office Building, and consolidate their operations into the Longworth Building (buildings constructed for the United States House of Representatives ) and Ford Building (buildings containing U.S. House of Representatives staff) post offices.  The Senate post offices will not be affected. Comments on the proposal are due by December 19.
