  1. Give me 5 years on my retirement and I will go. At least when Burris was in office you could write to Ask the President and they would responed and give you an answer. With Guffy…you don’t even get the time of day. I could not get a straight answer from our union here. As soon as I can I am out of the union I am out. He sucks……Why can’t they put the postmasters back the offices that should be in instead of putting them here and there and paying them all this gas mileage? Just another thing to put us under.

  2. I was apwu local president for over 5yrs, went to many conventions last one in L.A. Saw Burrus and Cuffey pull up front of the Staple Center in a big limousine everyday. During the convention when Burrus did not like what you were saying on a microphone he would shut it off from the main stage. All copa funds are for is a way to pay politicians for meeting times in Washington. Wake up and smell the coffee it does not matter the way you vote or what you think about the contract they will continue to spend your dues anyway they want including buying hotel suites at top dollar and limosines while you say how proud you are to be in the apwu, belive me Cuffey will do what he wants to do regardless of what you think. The real politicians are your elected union officers,

  3. The post office wants to get rid of 220,000 jobs, the only way that is going to happen in this economy is by offering a real incentive.they can keep they’re 25,000.THey need to offer up to 10 years of service to get people to the max or close to it. Or they will never get to that number.so yes there defindtly is something coming, lets hope its enough.

  4. All the SCABS are freeloaders and complainers!Join the Union you fat-a**ed dopes!Thank the teabaggers and Republicans that you voted for:you are about to be fired by them with no severance and no retirement annuity!Dumba**es!

  5. Give me VERA and I’ll be gone in half a heartbeat! I just want the H out of there! I hate working there now!Management and Congress have destroyed the USPS!

  6. All this moaning and crying over Buyer`s Remorse. You Idiots could have walked out over 2 years ago with the $15,000 but instead waited for the $25K Max. You better hope they give you “anything” other then a kick in the ass and walking you out the door. You should have gotten FMLA, and been burning up your S/L and getting ready like a Parachutist , “to Jump”. Like they say, “You (can`t) be too smart”!

  7. The St. Louis ASC is in bed with politics to exclude the craft employees from any cash incentive offer, by calling us essential personel how can i be a esintial employee, if I can call and retire in three days????
Please get this stupid lable off us so we can have a chance to get this offer.

  8. Keep waiting for incentives, once they change the rules of the retirement game, you will never be able to retire!!! Next average calculation will be the 5 year average and not 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. This is still ONE country, isn’t it?You’d never know it by the politics and misinformation being peddled by so called leaders

  10. Who the heck woke Sleepy up anyway? He needs to go back to sleep for another 20 years or so. Nobody gonna miss him.

  11. @Firepotter, TruePatriot, & real union guy: Thanks!!! These other tea bagging fags on here haven’t a clue. As far as the last contract, I can proudly say I voted NO and my whole state of Iowa had a majority of No votes. I am against the “nifties” and the “pissies” too. Never-the-less, I still support my union and I know which political party represents MY best interests. 40% of the lame-brained idiots that work at the Post office vote the other way. My only consolation is that I guess that 40%, most of them gotta be management. It’s about 60/40 now, isn’t it?

  12. I left in April. Retired after 30 years. Glad I did. If you can go do it. Don’t wait for ghost incentives.

  13. I’m a retired ironworker who joined the post office in the 90’s to try and use my military time to get a better retirement check. I gotta tell all you guys This is the poorest excuse for a union I’ve ever seen!!! i’ve screamed at scabs in my own office for stealing work from union workers and laughing and teasing them about it. While union guys told me to ” leave him alone he’s got kids” what the h*ll do the rest of us have MONKEYS!!!! the APWU should offer these SCABS up as bargaining tools! anyone not in the union layoff and if they want to join the union now fine, just pay all your ” BACK DUES ” and go to the bottom of the senority list an learn how to swim! You piece of whale SH*T bottom feeder! Time to get a backbone people! this union is only as strong as it’s weakest voice,so start screaming at people that don’t want the union!!! Gettem the F#*K OUT !!!

  14. How about $100K and 10 years added to your service? Actually, I would be happy with six years added to my service time, and you can keep your money. J.

  15. The majority of these posts remind me of the old Sears Christmas Wish Book. Alot of things in there you wish you could have but never will.

  16. Have a piece of grandmas pie, you little darlings.

Your all better off working as long as you can.

If your under 60 and not at 80%. Times are tight even at 100%.

  17. @True Patriot SORRY I didn’t mean you in that last post. It was a typo I was very angry! You are a True Patriot!

  18. @True Patriot,chaz,Sleepy and enufisenuf
Anyone who is anti-union is a tea bagging crack head that believes that the earthquakes and hurricanes are gods’ wrath against democrats, the Postal Service and the middle class. You must hunt at the n**ger head rock ranch of Rick Perry. Look at your history. April 1937 Hitler’s 1st act of power was to assassinate the 5 German union presidents. Anyone who doesn’t know their history is doomed to repeat it. So when the corporate fascists succeed at destroying our union and our postal service who will protect and fight for your working contract with management? The SS or the Gestapo? Issa or Ross? The Koch Brothers ‘who financed 687 of these tea bagging clowns? The Koch brothers are about to go to prison for selling to IRAN. Pick one Adolf. I think the tea party should change their name to the Benedict Arnold party! In 2012 you idiots are voted out. YOU WILL PAY YOUR TAXES!

  19. What a moron. A vote for Republcans is an anti union vote. If if were up to the management of any company we would all be making Chinese sweat shop wages if allowed. Your unions are the only think making sure this does not happen. The laws of this country provide so that tycoons are responsible for the welfare of their labor force. Remove unions and you’ll see the number of people on welfare triple while the money to fund these programs disappears as no one can afford to pay a proportionate tax rate. All the while Richy Rich keeps his and spends his unholy riches abroad. You have to see the big picture people every anti union politician must be voted out of office. Wether a candidate supports or opposes Union labor should be your primary determining factor when voting in local or national elections.

  20. Cost structure is such that intelligent reform must take place; decrease employee roles is a must. Closing non essential offices that serve no needed services as services could be provided by nearby office must take place. Delivery days must be reduced as communication processes have advanced in 21st century to point USPS does not connect people or businesses but delivers advertising circular mail which is a waste. Delivery days must be reduced. Early out no penalty; retire ones that have age and service with no pay to retire.

  21. Limit is $25,000 for retirement incentives, nothing more, unless the law changes. Still people are aksing foryears ofservice added on, again, no service years can be added, unless the law changes.
Guffey is mostly blah, blah – talks too much. No action yet.
Your hard earned union dues are going to waste to support the Demon-crats.
Get rid of that affirmative action president O-buMMEr – this country won’t be in such a mess. Does your local even provide you with any holiday treats?
Listen to Herman Cain, he speaks the truth, about the entitlement people, and the ones needing affirmative action to get ahead. Born here, speak English, but can’t get ahead without affirmative acton help. The illegals are ahead of affirmative action seekers.
Get rid ofthe thieves on Wall Street & the guy in the White House& that whole staff of useless people.
Stop your crying of discrimination, when you are the one being the racist.
No more O-buMMer – out out out. Became hopeLESS & change forthe WoRsE!!!!

  22. I really enjoyed the hospitality room in Vegas paid for by dem union dues!

“What happens in Vegas stays and is paid for by union dues in Vegas!” Keep em coming and don’t retire yet lest we increase those dues or ask for assessments!

  23. after 20+ years as an apwu member who was just excesses from daytona beach to mid florida with 35 other maint employee’s they posted 23 maint jobs along with 25 or so letter carrier jobs told us they waived all the qualifying and if you get a job and don’t pass the training they can remove you. oh and by the way for the people that get carrier jobs you start a new period of seniority. one way or another i will be out of the apwu wish i could get my copa money back, that did a lot of good. but they have a mos supervisor (thought all mos supervisors were done away with to save money)in mid florida nice how mgmt. takes cares of mgmt.

  24. @ get real The clerks at our station just wanted talks to end. Most voted for it while knowing very well what was in it. It was like when Bush won the second time. I could not believe it. Hey wait, come to think about it, IT WAS RIGGED. Or not enough voters cared to vote at all.

  25. We clerks did NOT vote for this contract…if you noticed anything, the bargaining books were sent out practically before the ballots were completely tallied…can you say rigged??? We all need to pay more attention and stop pointing fingers at each other…we are so low on this totem pole we don’t count or matter. Top dogs rule.

  26. Cut the Bullshit. They will give you$ 15000-25000 if you are lucky. No time added on and 2% still if under 55 (CSRS).If don,t like it Stay and cut the whining. Also if you really need the $15,000 to retire you cannot really afford to retire. Again cut the bullshit and whining.
    .

  27. 5 years if its only clerks won’t get dic out 25000 civil service left 28 years of service is minimum 5 years thats 33 years that s crap times are tough out there. 5 years will get 15000 clerks out tops if these bums are serious it will take 7 years and money

  28. You jerks voted for the new contract. I didn’t but now job is being reverted to a 4 day 10 hour job and being reposyed in at my work so everybody get to bid on it. That really sucks. now my job is revert a job a did for the last 20 plus years. APWU I have been in Union for 25 years I am done YOU GUYS SCREWED US. I hope everybody thinks the way I do BYE BYE AS_H_OE_s

  29. 84,809 of 176,611 apwu members didn’t vote. 75% that did voted their jobs away. I am Nalc and told every clerk I saw not to vote for the contract. You clerks should read what you vote for and not blame the union. You voted for a 30 hour work week. Come on!

  30. the WORST contract in the history of modern day labor with opening the door to a 30 hour full time work week……..and Cliff Guffy is in Vegas telling his whores what a big wheel he is. padding the expense account & selling out the workers-nothing has changed.

the AFL/CIO should have taken over the apwu and thrown guffy/morris bums into the street.

  31. Does anybody really think that Guffey knows what the hell he’s talking about? I beleive they call guys like him union thugs! He doesn’t have half the brain that Burrus had. He’s just like Obama. Don’t listen to him, watch his actions. Actions do speak louder than words

  32. The average idiot isn’t going to get sh#t. It will all be distributed to the top 1%. Like it always is.

  33. We actually deserve nothing. We are overpaid government “workers” that make twice what private sector makes. Too many benefits to cause huge deficits.

  34. “APWU President Cliff Guffey told the delegates to the APWU National Presidents Conference in Las Vegas, NV today, I am certain there will be an early retirement offer for APWU members with incentives once the Postal Service fully complies with our demands.”

What demands? We demand you abide by the contract that I shoved down the throats of the membership at large.

What incentives? An incentive to equal no other incentive that has ever been offered.

Ole Guffey is “CERTAIN”, the only thing he is certain of is the fact that he belied the true conditions of this contract.

  35. Too late for early outs this year, probably coming in 2012. The big number seems to be with CSRS within 3 years of retirement. Probably looking for a way to waive the 2% penalty/ MRA. Monetary incentive should be big with money coming from the FERS overpayment of 6.9 billion. That’s all Suckas

  36. Blah blah…one source says cancel the VERs, in another they’re about to make some insane incentive offer.
    Wake me when it’s over.

  37. C’mon NALC get with it we carriers want out too For me personally just get us VERA I dont care about incentives I JUST WANT OUT!
