USPS Moves Processing of Employees FMLA Requests to Human Resources Center

The Human Resources Shared Services Center (HRSSC) began processing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests for employees of 23 districts and headquarters July 11. FMLA processing for all other districts nationwide will transition to HRSSC Sept. 10.

Employees who need general information regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act can click here. HRSCC staff also will be available for case-specific questions, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. ET.

Supervisors and managers may email requests for FMLA information to the Outlook email address designated for each Area. Click here for the list, which includes detailed contact information of districts that were affected by the move of FMLA to HRSSC last month.

Until the transition is completed, employees who hand deliver their certifications to work locations within a district where FMLA processing has been transferred to HRSSC should be allowed to fax the information or be given an envelope to mail their information to HRSSC.

  1. Hey, now I’ll have to argue with some bitch on the phone across the country instead of just locally!

  2. 26 years in PO and first time I ever had to use an FMLA for back injury. It started out at my home office but within week moved to CT. office which was unable to handle the load apparently so now it went to North Carolina. I have had to return to my dr. for more and more paperwork and he is getting pissed. One more problem and I am getting a lawyer and will sue all the morons.

  3. This may be better in long run. The Postal Service give a person with no qualification a FMLA job. These FMLA Coordinator dont NO anything concerning medical facts or diagnosis. They have the nerve to disapproved many people FMLA. The post office is a industry that promotes mostly women and men in exchange 4 sex . These same coordinator tell U hey U got sick on your day off . You have a pattern going on here. That is not their job. FMLA is protected leave. I say good ridden to bad rubish!

  4. After doing such a GREAT JOB with all of the RETIREMENTS THAT THEY SCREWED UP in addition to their fantastic track record of KEEPING OUR RECORDS STRAIGHT….they are now going to take over FMLA for all districts.

    GREAT MOVE.

  5. So now when they f**k up my paperwork, like they always do, someone 3000 miles away is responsible.
