USPS Extends Agreement With Constellation Energy to Supply Electricity At Facilities In 3 Northeast States

BALTIMORE–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG), a leading competitive energy supplier to residential, business and public-sector customers, today announced that it has signed an agreement to provide electricity to U.S. Postal Service (USPS) facilities in New York, Massachusetts and Maine, continuing a six-year relationship with USPS.

Under the competitively bid agreement, Constellation will supply electricity to USPS facilities in the three Northeast states through July 2012. In addition to New York, Maine and Massachusetts, Constellation also currently provides electricity to the USPS in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio.

Constellation Energy is a leading provider of energy products and services aimed at helping customers manage energy costs and meet sustainability goals. In addition to USPS, Constellation serves a wide range of public-sector customers, including more than 150 federal government sites ranging from the U.S. Capitol to the Smithsonian Institution. Constellation also recently signed a 20-year Energy Savings Agreement with the U.S. Department of State that will spur the development of renewable energy generation projects in two states.
