I wrote to the SubCommittee on the Postal Service, and asked them to totally reorganize the Postal Service. The problems at the financial end are the result of too many managers, and not enough workers. Since 1992 the number of mangers has incereased from 87,000 to about 163,000. The PMG and other VP’s get much more income than is allo0wed under both the old reorganization act of 1971, and the Postal Enhancement and reorganization Act of 2006. The Limit in the 1971 law was the pay of a cabinet officer, and the 2006 bill is the VP’s salary plus 20%. The PMG negotiated with the Board of Governors for “Bonuses”! The law was specific! Any compensation above the allowable amout is a violation of federal law. Any member of the board of Governors that voted for the payments are subject to impeachment. Any member of the postal service that recieved the money’s can be subject to forfeture af the money’s and can be tried for financial fraud. We need the supervision in the Postal Service to be changed to the better for the public, not for get rich quick schemes.

Please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama how you ,Post Master General Potter, are replacing the 200,000 employees with Contract workers and Transitional Employees, called TEs. Please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama how you do not pay any health care benefits to these employees. Mr. Potter please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama why this division of the federal Government is not taking any responsibility with TEs or Contract workers as far as health care when the small Mom and Pop owned business is now forced to provide health care. Mr. Potter please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama the current buying of equipment to sort mail when the need, or volume of mail being low, is not necessary when the company is losing billions per year with lack of business to justify purchases. Mr. Potter please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama how the computer generated time management system know as DOIS is a fraudulent in its use to create seemly better productivity among workers with total disregard to safety. Mr. Potter please explain to the American Public, Congress and President Obama why you are still the Post Master General after losing billions upon billions of dollars.
