William: I'm on your side, but calling you a name doesn't violate Title VII in and of itself. What motivated your boss to call you a name is the issue. Was your boss motivated by any of the listed purviews? Race, color, gender, reprisal, religion, national origin, we all know them.

Don: You sound bitter. Many, many, people with some degree of disability can be, and are, very productive employees. Also, disability through OPM or OWCP is merely a percentage of their salary; and why pay people to stay home and do nothing when they are able to come to work and do something?

I realize that a limited duty person is a bit of a problem for a manager...but they have a right to work under law. I also know that managers have bonus monetary incentives to weed out disabled persons... at least in the USPS.

Open your heart a bit; what goes around comes around brother, and there but for the grace of God go you and I. Have compassion for the qualified handicapped individuals. I like the new proposals.

Believe me the EEOC is tighter than Dick's hat band right now. The judges have, perhaps unintentionally, de facto raised the burden of proof from preponderance to clear and convincing.

Just what is needed, more disabled people in the work force. Can't do the job? Go home and apply for disability.
