Mgmt. at all levels should do their best to keep the Service solvent for the sake of our customers and craft employees. Right now I do not see that happening above the Unit / A.O. level. Area & District level Mgmt. is mostly overhead and should be eliminated. Too many programs that cost more than they could ever save; and actually divert local Mgmt. attention away from moving the mail. Every employee should question redundant processes that purport to be about service, but are really about a score that effects Mgmt. compensation. In light of high fuel prices, all regular Mgmt. meetings should be via phone or internet. All executive level travel should be cancelled. If Marketing requires the involvement of all employees, then eliminate marketing as a corporate effort and save the $$$$$$.

This should have been implemented fifteen years ago in order to thin out the stooges that never touch the mail.
There has been days when the management clowns have screwed up their own schdule and as a result there would be no supervisor in the morning. Guess what happened. The carriers and clerks did job the way it's supposed to be done...supervisor or not.
